Uriel comes from a humble background of immigrants whose parents only went to elementary school. His parents taught him perseverance, strong ethics, and determination. Uriel graduated from California State University at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and Economics. He furthered his education by attending Woodbury University in Burbank, where he earned a Master in Business Administration and tutored other MBA candidates in finance, accounting, quantitative methodologies, and economics. He concurrently worked in the finance department for an aerospace manufacturer while attending the MBA program.
While studying for the graduate management aptitude test (GMAT), Uriel realized that studying and repeating the information was insufficient to take the exam or achieve the necessary grades in the master's program. Uriel researched how scholars memorized speeches and books and began to teach and train himself how to use these powerful techniques. He realized that using rote memory to learn was not practical, nor was it long-term. He proceeded to "Learn how to Learn" and uncovered tools and techniques not used by schools nor colleges. Reading books and supplementing them with online videos, Uriel mastered the tools necessary to master how to find information in his brain. With this newly acquired technique, Uriel graduated with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.84 in the business administration program.
